๐ก Good to know
- Off-leash vs. on-leash: dogs run free only inside the fenced/posted off-leash areas. Trails and the rest of each park are leash-on โ always check the signs at the gate.
- Voice control areas (like parts of McInnis Park) mean off-leash is fine only if your dog reliably comes when called.
- Bring water & bags. Most parks have a fountain and waste dispensers, but they run dry โ pack your own and always clean up.
- Watch the tides & sun. Bayside parks (Remington, Mill Valley, Piper) get muddy at high tide and hot at midday โ mornings are golden.
- Vaccinations & manners. Dogs should be up to date on shots and comfortable around other dogs. Pull out if play gets too rough.
- GGNRA & beaches (Rodeo Beach, Muir Beach) have their own rules that change seasonally โ verify before you go.
