How group walks work

Your dog joins a small, on-leash group of up to six dogs for a real walk — about an hour on the move — on each day you choose, every week, weekends included. One happy group, one tired-out evening. Here’s how it works.

🦮 What it is

A group walk on each day you pick — every week (from one day a week up, any day Monday to Sunday — weekends too): your dog, a few well-matched walking buddies, and your walker out on the sidewalks, in the parks and through the open space of Marin. Walks happen in the early afternoon — we pick up between 1pm and 3pm — so your pup gets a proper break in the middle of the day, and you get a photo from every walk. Every dog is on leash for the whole walk, and the group is never bigger than six dogs.

✨ What’s included in every walk

  • A real hour on the move About an hour of actual walking — sidewalks, parks and open space — with sniff breaks and water breaks built in. The drive doesn’t count.
  • Door-to-door shuttle Complete pick-up and drop-off included! We collect your pup at the door, secure them for the ride, and bring them home the same way.
  • Small group, always on leash A stable group of up to six well-matched dogs, every one of them on leash from door to door — the social hour, kept calm and safe.
  • Experienced handling Professional walkers focused 100% on leash manners, safety, hydration and group dynamics, with basic obedience woven into every walk.

❤️ Health & social benefits of a daily walk

  • Cardiovascular fitness An hour of steady walking works the heart and lungs the way a quick potty break never does — and it adds up, week after week.
  • Lower blood pressure Regular exercise helps keep blood pressure and weight in a healthy range — good news for joints and for the years ahead.
  • Less stress at home A dog that has walked, sniffed and socialized comes home calmer: less pacing, less barking, fewer chewed cushions.
  • Social confidence Walking with the same small group, on leash, teaches easy manners around other dogs, bikes and people — the calm kind of socialization.

🐾 A small group, always on leash

Six is the most dogs we’ll ever walk at once — enough company to make the walk a social hour, few enough that every dog gets an eye and a hand on the leash. Leashes stay on from door to door: parks, streets and open space alike. If your pooch would rather romp free, our group hikes are the off-leash adventure; group walks are the steady, on-leash one.

  • Up to six dogs per walk — a stable group that gets to know each other.
  • On leash, always — we may add a safety lead of our own.
  • About an hour of walking — the drive doesn’t count.

📍 Where we walk

We pick your dog(s) up right at your residence or office, collect the rest of the group, and head out in Marin County — our regular stomping grounds are Corte Madera, Larkspur, Kentfield, San Anselmo and San Rafael. Depending on what suits the group best, that might be a park, a stretch of open space or a mellow loop through quiet residential streets.

⏱️ A typical walk

Every outing is about an hour of actual walking — the commute doesn’t count — broken into segments:

  • Pre-walk potty time — 5–10 minutes to take care of business.
  • Walking with intent — 20–25 minutes of real exercise, the kind that ends in happy panting.
  • Break time — sniffing, drinking water and saying hello, leashes on.
  • More walking with intent — another 10–15 minutes on the move.
  • One last break — 5–10 minutes to wind down before we head back to the truck.

Treats and affection are sprinkled throughout. Along the way we work on basic obedience — sit, stay, heel, come — and good manners in a group, while giving your dog plenty of time to sniff and explore the world we share.

📱 How to book group walks

  1. Pick “Group Walks” as the service on the booking page.
  2. Pick your days (any day Mon–Sun, weekends too — from one day a week up) — your pooch walks those days every week, until you cancel.
  3. Tell us about your dog — how many dogs, and a few quick questions so your pooch lands in the right group.
  4. Share contact details and send — you’ll see the exact weekly price first, and we confirm personally after a quick meet & greet.

📅 How often & how long?

That depends on your dog’s energy and how long they’re home alone. A walk on every workday is ideal for dogs left alone during the day — see how long a dog can be left alone — and high-energy dogs benefit from more days, or from group hikes. ❓ Common questions

Is my dog on leash?
Always. Group walks are an on-leash service from pickup to drop-off — that’s what keeps a group of six calm and safe on sidewalks and in parks.
How many dogs are in the group?
Up to six, and we keep the groups stable so the dogs get to know each other. Every new dog joins after a meet & greet.
Do you walk on weekends?
Yes — the walking group goes out every day of the week, Saturday and Sunday included. Weekend walks are $15 more per walk than a weekday one. Pick whichever days suit your pooch when you book.
How does pickup work?
We come right to your door between 1pm and 3pm to pick up your furry friend — no need for you to go anywhere — make sure they’re secured for the ride, and bring them home the same way after the walk.
What if my dog needs to skip a walk?
Walks are a flat-rate weekly membership, so we don’t guarantee credits for missed days — but life happens! Just request a skip on your booking page, then pick the make-up day yourself on that same page, from whichever days still have room.
Where do group walks happen?
Group walks are available in Marin County and the Marina (SF). Outside those areas we offer in-home dog sitting across the Bay Area.
Want the trails instead?
If your pooch has energy to burn and loves other dogs, group hikes are the full adventure — at least two hours on the trail every time, off leash too (preferred, but optional).
Going away overnight?
That’s a job for in-home dog sitting.
