Become a pack lead

Get paid to hike the Bay Area’s trails with a pack of very good dogs. We’re growing our group hikes and looking for people who’d rather spend their days outside than at a desk.

🐾 What a pack lead does

You’re the human the pack follows. On each of your days you pick up your dogs door to door, drive them to one of our permitted open-space trailheads, and lead a real hike — hills, woods, creeks and play breaks. You snap a photo from every adventure for the dog parents, keep an eye on everyone’s manners and recall, and deliver a happy, tired pack back home.

✅ What we’re looking for

Genuine love of dogs — calm, confident handling comes first; we’ll teach you the rest.
Fit for the trail — comfortable hiking with elevation, in most weather.
A clean driving record — you’re driving the pack to the trailhead. Your own reliable car is preferred but optional; we may be able to provide one.
Steady availability — at least two set days a week, weekdays or weekends, morning or evening — the same days every week so the dogs get a stable routine.
Based in the Bay Area — our packs currently hike Marin, and we’re open to launching new areas with the right person.
Ready to get licensed — commercial dog walking here requires a dog-walking license; you’ll need to be ready to get one, and we’ll walk you through the process.

Professional dog-walking or training experience is a big plus, but not required — plenty of great pack leads started as devoted dog people with steady nerves and good judgment.
