How Dog
Daycare Works

โ€ฆand the one-on-one alternative ๐Ÿพ

๐Ÿšซ Heads up: we’re not offering daycare right now.

Andy does not provide dog daycare at this time. For daytime needs, the alternative is dog walking โ€” a dedicated walk on each day you choose โ€” and for longer absences, in-home dog sitting. This page is a general guide to how daycare works.

๐ŸŽพ What dog daycare is

With daycare, you drop your dog off in the morning โ€” at a daycare facility or a host’s home โ€” and pick it up in the evening. The day usually mixes group play, rest periods, feeding and potty breaks, supervised by staff. It’s daytime-only: no overnight stay.

๐Ÿ†š Daycare vs. a dedicated walk

The big difference is group setting vs. one-on-one. Daycare puts your dog in a busy room of other dogs for the day. A dedicated midday walk keeps your dog in its own home and routine, with individual attention and a proper outing.

That’s why Andy focuses on dedicated walks and in-home sitting rather than group daycare.

โ“ Common questions

Will Andy offer daycare later?
Daycare isn’t available right now. For daytime needs, dog walking covers most of what daycare solves.
My dog is alone on workdays โ€” daycare or a walker?
For most dogs a midday walk breaks up the day perfectly โ€” see how long a dog can be left alone. Daycare suits dogs who truly crave group play.
How much exercise does my dog actually need?
Try the dog exercise calculator โ€” it estimates daily needs by energy, age and life stage.
